Our Secure Consolidation Process
When you partner with EcoLights for storage and consolidation, you can trust that your materials are handled with the highest standards of safety and environmental responsibility. Our facility operates under a strict, organized process to ensure everything we receive is tracked, sorted, and managed correctly from the moment it arrives.
Step 1: Receiving & Inspection
All materials arrive at our loading dock. Our trained team performs a thorough inspection against our acceptance criteria to ensure safety and compliance. Once approved, items are palletized and moved into our secure receiving area.
Step 2: Sorting & Logging
Every approved item is immediately logged into our tracking system. We then sort all materials by type to ensure they are handled according to their specific requirements.
Step 3: Specialized Storage by Material Type
This is where our expertise shines. We don't just store waste; we manage it intelligently.
Lamps: Staged in the central warehouse and processed within 72 hours of receipt. We prioritize rapid recycling to minimize storage time.
Mercury-Containing Equipment: Immediately moved to a designated "satellite accumulation area" and transferred to our main 90-day storage once a container is full.
Batteries: Sorted by chemistry in a dedicated staging area, packaged to U.S. DOT standards, and prepared for shipment to our specialized battery recycling partners.
Other Materials (Ballasts, Fixtures, E-Waste): Consolidated and securely stored until transported to our certified downstream partners for processing.
Step 4: Final Processing & Documentation
We close the loop responsibly. Materials are processed on-site or prepared for secure transport to our network of permitted, final-stage recycling partners. You receive a Certificate of Recycling for everything we handle, providing you with complete audit-proof documentation.
